Building the Greater Fox Cities...
The Valley Home Builders Association (VHBA) was chartered in 1973 to promote, protect and preserve the home building industry in the greater Fox Cities area. A not-for-profit corporation, the VHBA is a professional organization representing the building industry in the greater Fox Cities area. The VHBA is the source for information on building issues, trends and innovations. VHBA provides its members with programs and services to enhance their ability to conduct business with integrity and professionalism. Members of the VHBA are committed to working together to provide a higher standard of safe and attainable housing.
The Wisconsin Connection...
Every member of the VHBA is also a member of the Wisconsin Builders Association. WBA provides a large business and political base for our membership. One primary function is to monitor government actions affecting the home building industry. WBA maintains an excellent rapport with the Wisconsin Legislature and Governor's office.
The National Affiliation...
The National Association of Home Builders, headquartered in Washington, DC, represents the interests of Association members throughout the country, including members of the VHBA. It continually monitors legislative and regulatory issues that have a national impact on the industry. Among the valuable services provided by NAHB are a computerized legal research system, a library, subscriptions to magazines, newsletters and pamphlets covering many subjects of interest to members.
It is a privilege, not a duty, to be a member of the Association that supports your livelihood. Many of the trade benefits you enjoy today stem from the struggles and efforts of the Association over the years. Through your involvement, you can shape the future of residential construction and growth in the Fox Cities. Standing alone, VHBA members are a voice in the dark. But united through a strong association, much can be accomplished for the good of the building industry and the community in which we live.
