DO YOU PULL BUILDING PERMITS?
Only contractors in compliance with new State requirements for contractor education can pull building permits!
Valley Home Builders Association wants to help you meet these new State requirements. We can help you understand the law and help you complete your required education.
New contractors must take State-prescribed courses to obtain a Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Certification. For more details regarding the Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Credential, click here.
Many contractors were "grandfathered" into the program, and were able to obtain a Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Certification by submitting a form and payment. Once you have your Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Certification, you must complete 12 hours of State-approved continuing education every two years.
VHBA offers courses in both initial certification and continuing education:
Initial Certification - 12-Hour Course, May 22, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and May 23, 7:30 a.m. - noon. Class held at VHBA Member Center, 920 W. Association Dr., Appleton. Cost is $160/person for home builders association members (any NAHB-affiliated builders association in the state) and $225/person for non-members. Click here to download a registration form.
